2S-LGBTQ+ Youth Connection

The Gilbert Centre runs a program called QT Youth Connection, which is a drop-in social space for Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Queer youth aged 12-30. Our goal is to provide opportunities for youth to gather and connect in a relaxed social space and to access resources and support on topics and issues that relate to gender, sexual orientation, sexual health, mental health, education, employment, and more.

Discord Server

The QT Discord server is a monitored virtual social space for 2S-LGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-19 to connect with peers and staff. We have weekly server open hours including a virtual drop-in group. Youth interested in joining the server can contact us to complete a short intake.

GenQ Program

GenQ is a program for 2S-LGBTQIA+ Young adults ages 20-29 in the Simcoe Muskoka region that offers a supportive space for participants to build community and explore identity. We currently hold in-person drop-in groups on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 3-6pm at the Gilbert Centre in Barrie.
